LA01 (M) Airbag Kit

This kit is still suitable even if your vehicle has a 2″ lift. Alternatively, you can use our LA01 (T) kit which has longer brackets.

This is a brand new air bag load assist kit to suit the rear of the following vehicles: TOYOTA LANDCRUISER – 40, 45, 60, 75, 76, 78, 79 – ALL MODELS W/ LEAF SPRINGS TOYOTA HILUX – 4X2 (LIGHT-DUTY) NISSAN NAVARA – 4X2 (LIGHT-DUTY)

We have 3 height options for our LA01 kits: Short, LA01 (S) – 200mm (for the low riders) Mid, LA01 (M) – 235mm (most common) Tall, LA01 (T) – 270mm (for the running lift kits)

This is a very universal kit – the old holden 1 tonner and a V8 landcruiser ute with a big lift both run the same kit and just the length of brackets vary – Short, Medium and Tall. We have simplified your options with the correct length applied to each vehicle type.  But if you have any doubts about how tall your vehicle sits like what suspension lift you might have etc then simply jack up the tow bar so the rear sits where you expect it to ride then measure underside of chassis to top of axle. Because we make our own brackets, we can also do custom builds if you have special requirements.

The AAA leaf assist air bag kit replaces your bump stops and effectively becomes a bump stop conversion that can help you carry a load. When unloaded you want some air in the bags (10-15 psi) so you have some cushion or softness in the new bump stop effect. Then as you load up just add more air – what ever it takes to keep the vehicle level.  The AAA kit is rated at 2.5t so that’s the bags being capable of lifting 2.5t of additional weight over the rear axle. Your real limit is your GVM and what’s safe and sensible, but know the bags are up for what ever your load might be.

The rubber in the bags is heavier than the rubber in the sidewalls of your tyres so they last for ever seeing there is no rubbing or moving parts as such. AAA kits come with a 10 year new for old warranty on all bags, brackets, airlines and valves.

Fitment of our LA01 is dead easy – the top bracket replaces the bump stop and re-uses the old bump stop bolts. The rear axle sits above the spring so loosen the U bolts and slide the lower bracket under the U-bolts. No cutting drilling or welding and just a normal set of spanners is all you need.
